Dear _________________:
      Landlord's Name

I have received your notice that my rent is being
increased. I received the notice on _________________.
                                      (Date Received)

According to the Ohio Landlord-Tenant Law, a landlord is
required to give notice of a rent increase at least thirty (30)
days before the proposed rental increase goes into effect. (ORC
5321.17).

In accordance with the law, your proposed rent increase
will not go into effect until the next rental due date. I will
pay rent at my current rate on this rental due date, and will pay
the increased amount on the following rental due date.

I hope that this letter will clear up any confusion about
the legal requirements for notice of rent increases. Thank you
for your attention to this matter.

                         Sincerely,

                         ______________________
